Authenticated script injection via unencoded echostr reflection
Published Sep 25, 2025 · Updated Sep 25, 2025
Cross-site scripting in MikeCen WeChat-Face-Recognition allows remote authenticated users to inject script through the echostr parameter. At commit 6e3f72bf8547d80b59e330f1137e4aa505f492c1, wx.php's valid function returns the query value without HTML encoding or other neutralization. A valid WeChat request signature and victim interaction are required, limiting the demonstrated consequence to attacker-controlled script execution in the victim's browser.
