Stored XSS via unneutralized layout HTML
Published Sep 25, 2025 · Updated Sep 25, 2025
Stored cross-site scripting in Total.js CMS 1.0.0 allows remote authenticated users to alter rendered pages through crafted layout HTML. The /admin/ layouts_save handler accepts the HTML argument for storage, and the renderer compiles saved markup without neutralizing executable content. Administrative access and a victim who views the affected page are required; the injected script can alter content in that viewer's browser.
