Sensitive user data exposure via unchecked AJAX query
Published Nov 21, 2025 · Updated Nov 21, 2025
Missing authorization in UiPress Lite 3.5.08 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read sensitive user records. The uip_process_block_query AJAX handler returns user-query results without checking the list_users capability or removing password hashes and other sensitive fields. Subscriber-level access reaches the handler, exposing password hashes, email addresses, and other account data without altering records.
