CVE-2025-10916Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Unauthenticated file deletion via decoded path traversal

Published Oct 21, 2025 · Updated Oct 21, 2025

Arbitrary file deletion in wpWax FormGent before 1.0.4 allows remote attackers to delete server files through a WordPress REST request. The attachments DELETE endpoint accepts a base64-encoded file_token whose decoded traversal path escapes wp-content/uploads. No authentication is required; deletion of wp-config.php interrupts the site and can enable takeover through WordPress reinstallation.
