Subscriber-level scan-log deletion via missing capability check
Published Oct 24, 2025 · Updated Oct 24, 2025
Improper authorization in Originality.ai AI Checker 1.0.15 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to delete all scan logs. The ai_scan_result_remove AJAX handler performs the database deletion without verifying that the requesting account has the required capability. Subscriber-level access is sufficient; the loss is confined to stored scan-log data, including post titles, scan scores, and credit usage.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.

Attacks
What attackers are doing with it
Daily unique IPs observed by Shadowserver honeypots for known exploited vulnerabilities (KEVs). Missing observations do not establish an absence of attacks.
