Unauthenticated plugin activation or deactivation via AJAX
Published Oct 16, 2025 · Updated Oct 16, 2025
Missing authorization in RiceTheme Felan Framework 1.1.4 and earlier allows remote attackers to activate or deactivate WordPress plugins. The AJAX-exposed process_plugin_actions function changes plugin state without checking the caller's WordPress capabilities. No account or user interaction is required, and the bounded consequence is unauthorized configuration changes to installed plugins rather than plugin installation or code execution.
