Stored XSS via unsanitized exam question fields
Published Feb 6, 2025 · Updated Feb 7, 2025
Stored XSS in Mindskip XZS MySQL 3.9.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript in student browsers via edited questions. The exam-edit endpoint stores title, content, and analysis fields without removing dangerous HTML attributes, so an onerror handler runs when the question is previewed or opened. Administrative access is required to plant the payload, and execution requires an authenticated student or administrator to view the poisoned question.
