Authenticated memory corruption via unchecked startIp copy
Published Sep 22, 2025 · Updated Sep 22, 2025
Stack buffer overflow in Tenda AC20 16.03.08.0 through 16.03.08.12 allows remote authenticated users to corrupt memory via an HTTP POST request. The SetPptpServerCfg handler passes the attacker-controlled startIp parameter to strcpy without checking its length against the destination buffer. Low-privileged web-management access is required; the overwrite can crash the router or permit arbitrary code execution.
