Authenticated command execution via port parameter
Published Sep 22, 2025 · Updated Sep 22, 2025
Command injection in D-Link DIR-823X firmware 240126, 240802, and 250416 allows remote authenticated users to execute commands. The set_server_settings handler passes the port form value to system after either no filtering or a seven-character denylist that newline-delimited quoted input bypasses. Valid web-management credentials are required, and injected commands run in the goahead server's device context.
