CVE-2025-1080

Script execution via nested command URI

Published Mar 4, 2025 · Updated Nov 3, 2025

Improper input validation in LibreOffice 24.8 before 24.8.5 and 25.2 before 25.2.1 allows attackers to execute scripts via a browser link. The vnd.libreoffice.command URI handler accepts an embedded inner URL and forwards arbitrary arguments to internal macros instead of rejecting the nested command. A browser must pass the crafted link to LibreOffice; successful processing runs an internal macro in the local user's application context.
