CVE-2025-10779Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated code execution via unchecked HNAP_AUTH copy

Published Sep 22, 2025 · Updated Sep 22, 2025

Stack-based buffer overflow in D-Link DCS-935L firmware 1.13.01 allows remote authenticated users to execute code through HNAP1 requests. The /HNAP1/ handler's sub_402280 function copies HNAP_AUTH into a stack buffer with strcpy and formats it with sprintf without validating its length. Low-privileged access to the network service is sufficient, and successful exploitation executes code with the camera process's privileges or crashes the device.
