Authenticated router crash via unchecked Type copy
Published Sep 22, 2025 · Updated Sep 30, 2025
Stack-based buffer overflow in LB-LINK BL-AC2100 1.0.0 through 1.0.3 allows remote authenticated users to crash the router via HTTP. The Web Management Interface's bs_SetDelPath function copies the attacker-controlled Type parameter into a fixed-size stack buffer with strcpy after adding it to a JSON string. Access to the management interface with an administrative session is required; a crafted request can crash the router and interrupt its network service.
