Local command execution via unescaped RAT password
Published Sep 21, 2025 · Updated Sep 22, 2025
OS command injection in Cosmodium CyberSecurity OnlyRAT 3.0 through 3.2 allows local users to execute commands via a crafted RAT file. The connect, remote_upload, and remote_download functions place configuration["PASSWORD"] inside double-quoted sshpass commands passed to os.system without escaping shell metacharacters. A local user must supply a crafted configuration file to the Linux operator console; injected commands run with the OnlyRAT operator's privileges.
