Stored XSS via unsanitized custom-field label

Published Sep 21, 2025 · Updated Sep 22, 2025

Stored XSS in HTMLy's Custom Field Handler through 3.1.0 allows remote authenticated users to inject script via a crafted label. The /admin/field/post endpoint stores the label parameter without sanitization, and administrative views render it without output encoding. An administrator-level account and a victim viewing the poisoned field are required; script execution is limited to the victim's HTMLy origin.
