Arbitrary file upload via spoofed MIME type
Published Sep 20, 2025 · Updated Sep 22, 2025
Unrestricted file upload in Selleo Mentingo 2025.08.27 allows remote authenticated users to store arbitrary content via userAvatar. The upload handler trusts the client-supplied multipart Content-Type value without verifying file signatures, inspecting content, or cross-checking the filename extension. A low-privileged account can label an HTML file as an accepted image type, causing storage in S3 or MinIO and exposure through a presigned URL.
