CVE-2025-10751Public exploit

Local root escalation via unauthenticated XPC file copy

Published Oct 4, 2025 · Updated Oct 4, 2025

Incorrect permission assignment in MacEnhance MacForge 1.2.0 Beta 1 allows local users to gain root access through its XPC service. The privileged com.macenhance.MacForge.Injector.mach service accepts installFramework:atlocation:withReply: calls from any local process and copies attacker-selected files to arbitrary paths as root. An unprivileged account can chain this file-copy primitive with macOS newsyslog to install a sudoers entry and obtain passwordless root access.
