CVE-2025-10728

Application crash via recursive SVG pattern rendering

Published Oct 3, 2025 · Updated Oct 3, 2025

Uncontrolled recursion in Qt SVG in Qt Framework 6.7.0 through 6.8.4 and 6.9.0 through 6.9.2 allows attackers to crash applications. The pattern-rendering path recursively re-enters referenced pattern content without rejecting a cyclic reference, exhausting the call stack. Reachability requires an application to render an untrusted SVG containing a recursive pattern; the documented consequence is a service interrupt through an application crash.
