Credential theft via default task affinity
Published Sep 19, 2025 · Updated Sep 19, 2025
Task hijacking in SKT Lab Mukbee 1.01.196 allows local users to display a phishing activity when the Android app launches. The manifest leaves task affinity at the package-name default, allowing a malicious singleTask activity with the same affinity to occupy the shared task stack. Exploitation requires installation and use of a malicious app on Android before 11 and can expose credentials or induce permission grants.
