Unquoted search path handling in AXIS Optimizer 5.5.18.0 and earlier allows local users to escalate Windows privileges. Axis has not disclosed the affected executable or service; its launch command omits path quotation, allowing Windows to select attacker-written code from a searched path segment. Exploitation requires local access and administrator rights sufficient to write into the AXIS Optimizer installation path.
