Script execution via arbitrary SpyAttributes log path
Published Nov 19, 2025 · Updated Nov 19, 2025
Code injection in Progress DataDirect JDBC drivers and Hybrid Data Pipeline allows remote authenticated users to execute JavaScript. The SpyAttributes log=(file) construct writes attacker-supplied log content to an arbitrary path without restricting the file location or extension. Exploitation requires an application to accept an end-user SpyAttributes value and serve the chosen log path as an executable resource, enabling attacker-supplied script execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
