Unfiltered SVG uploads via missing nonce validation
Published Oct 16, 2025 · Updated Oct 16, 2025
Cross-site request forgery in Elementor Ally 3.8.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to enable unfiltered SVG uploads. The enable_unfiltered_files_upload handler performs its settings update without validating a request nonce, enabling unfiltered uploads and adding SVG to the permitted types. An authenticated administrator must act on a forged request, after which SVG files can be uploaded under the altered policy.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
