CVE-2025-10693Network attack vector

Security downgrade via missing reset after failed inclusion

Published Oct 31, 2025 · Updated Oct 31, 2025

Security downgrade in Silicon Labs Z-Wave SDK 2025.6.0 through 2025.6.1 allows remote attackers to retain a non-secure PIR sensor connection. The Sensor PIR sample application fails to reset after a failed SmartStart Security inclusion and remains connected to the network without secure inclusion. Exploitation requires a failed inclusion event and passive user interaction during onboarding; the resulting device connection lacks Z-Wave security protections.
