CVE-2025-1068

Local code execution via untrusted executable search path

Published Feb 25, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2025

Untrusted search path handling in Esri ArcGIS AllSource 1.2 and 1.3 allows local users to execute commands as a victim. Esri has not disclosed the affected action, executable name, or search-order location; the application resolves and runs a planted executable from a writable path. Exploitation requires low-privilege local filesystem write access and a victim to perform the triggering action, after which commands run in the victim's context.
