Authenticated code execution via playlist upload traversal
Published Sep 18, 2025 · Updated Sep 18, 2025
Path traversal in Airsonic-Advanced 10.0 through 10.6.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute code via playlist upload. The Upload playlist handler trusts the user-controlled Upload to path and accepts WAR files, allowing writes outside the playlist directory. Code execution requires write access to Tomcat's webapps directory and automatic WAR deployment, and runs with the application server account.
