Network data interception and modification via cleartext traffic
Published Oct 21, 2025 · Updated Oct 21, 2025
Cleartext transmission in EfficientLab WorkExaminer Professional 4.0.0.52001 and earlier allows attackers to read or alter monitoring data. Monitoring clients send logs by unencrypted FTP to TCP port 12304, while console-server traffic on TCP port 12306 also lacks encryption. Access to the relevant network path is required; exposed traffic includes sensitive monitoring records such as captured keystrokes.
