Administrative access via client-controlled login result
Published Oct 21, 2025 · Updated Oct 21, 2025
Authentication bypass in EfficientLab Work Examiner Professional 4.0.0.52001 and earlier allows remote attackers to gain administrative access. The console accepts a success flag returned by the server without enforcing that result server-side, so changing the response byte from 0 to 1 or patching the client bypasses the login check. Network access to the custom console protocol on TCP port 12306 is sufficient to expose monitored screenshots, keystrokes, and other administrative data.
