CVE-2025-10639Public exploitNetwork attack vector

SYSTEM code execution via hardcoded FTP credentials

Published Oct 21, 2025 · Updated Oct 21, 2025

Hardcoded FTP credentials in EfficientLab Work Examiner Professional 4.0.0.52001 and earlier allow remote attackers to execute code as SYSTEM. The bundled FTP server on TCP port 12304 accepts shared credentials and exposes the installation directory, allowing service binaries to be renamed and overwritten. Network access to that port is sufficient because installation creates a Windows Firewall exception; the same access exposes stored logs and monitored data.
