Unauthorized database access via unsanitized phone parameter
Published Sep 17, 2025 · Updated Sep 17, 2025
SQL injection in SourceCodester Online Exam Form Submission 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to access the database via a crafted phone value. The update_profile handler in /user/dashboard.php concatenates the phone parameter directly into a SQL query without validation, sanitization, or parameter binding. A student account and access to the profile-update request are required; the demonstrated time-based blind injection enables unauthorized database reads and writes.
