Subscriber-level data disclosure via unprepared event_venue query
Published Oct 9, 2025 · Updated Oct 9, 2025
SQL injection in Yannick Lefebvre Community Events 1.5.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read sensitive database data. The plugin insufficiently escapes the event_venue parameter before incorporating it into an existing SQL query that is not adequately prepared, so injected SQL changes the query. Subscriber-level WordPress access is required, and the documented consequence is extraction of sensitive database information.
