Contributor-level stored XSS via insufficient input handling
Published Oct 25, 2025 · Updated Oct 25, 2025
Stored XSS in Marketing Fire Widget Options 4.1.2 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts into WordPress pages. Multiple plugin functions store insufficiently sanitized input and render it without adequate output escaping; the public record does not identify those functions. Contributor-level access or higher is required, and the injected script executes whenever a visitor opens an affected page, enabling script-driven data access or page modification in that visitor's browser.
