Administrative takeover via unchanged default credentials
Published Sep 25, 2025 · Updated Sep 25, 2025
Use of default credentials in iMonitor EAM 9.6394 allows remote attackers to take administrative control of the EAM server. The management service accepts the shipped admin account's three-digit password, and the connection dialog discloses both default values. Exposure requires the administrator to leave the defaults unchanged; successful login permits reading captured telemetry and directing actions across connected agents.
