CVE-2025-10504

Firmware alteration via unchecked Bluetooth field length

Published Sep 29, 2025 · Updated Sep 29, 2025

Heap-based buffer overflow in ABB Terra AC wallbox (JP) 1.8.33 and earlier allows physically proximate attackers to corrupt heap memory. The firmware accepts a field longer than the self-defined Bluetooth protocol permits without validating its length, allowing the message to overwrite heap storage. Exploitation requires hijacking the encrypted Bluetooth channel; successful corruption crashes the charger or alters flash-backed firmware behavior.
