Subscriber-level file deletion via unchecked profile-picture path
Published Oct 8, 2025 · Updated Oct 8, 2025
Arbitrary file deletion in Stylemix Motors plugin 1.4.89 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to delete server files. The profile-picture deletion handler passes a user-supplied file path to the filesystem delete operation without restricting it to profile images. Subscriber-level access is sufficient; deleting a critical WordPress file can disable the site or enable code execution through subsequent reconfiguration.
