Authenticated arbitrary file move via unchecked paths
Published Oct 25, 2025 · Updated Oct 25, 2025
Path traversal in Directorist 8.4.8 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to move arbitrary server files through listing submission. The add_listing_action AJAX handler fails to restrict supplied file paths before moving a listing file, allowing paths outside the intended directory. Subscriber-level access is the grounded gate despite conflicting CNA prose, and moving a sensitive file such as wp-config.php can enable code execution.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
