CVE-2025-10487Network attack vector

Unauthenticated function invocation via exposed AJAX handler

Published Nov 1, 2025 · Updated Nov 1, 2025

Code injection in Advanced Ads 2.0.12 and earlier allows remote attackers to invoke selected WordPress functions through an AJAX request. The select_one() AJAX handler accepts an attacker-controlled function name and dispatches it without authentication, restricting only the name prefix to get_the_ instead of an allowlist of safe callbacks. Unauthenticated network access is sufficient; callable functions such as get_the_excerpt expose WordPress content, while the available evidence does not establish unrestricted PHP execution.
