CVE-2025-10470Network attack vector

Authentication outage via unbounded Magic Link requests

Published May 11, 2026 · Updated May 11, 2026

Uncontrolled resource consumption in WSO2 Identity Server 7.0.0 allows remote attackers to interrupt authentication via invalid requests. The Magic Link authentication flow processes repeated invalid requests without adequate rate limiting or resource controls, allowing memory use to grow without bound. Only deployments with the Magic Link authenticator enabled are exposed, and repeated unauthenticated requests can make the authentication mechanism completely unavailable.
