Unauthenticated code execution via unrestricted file upload
Published Sep 15, 2025 · Updated Sep 15, 2025
Unrestricted file upload in Online Student Project Report Submission and Evaluation System 1.0 allows remote attackers to execute code. The faculty_controller.php endpoint accepts the new_image multipart field and stores PHP scripts without checking file type, size, content, or storage path. No login or authorization is required, and a successful upload places attacker-controlled server-side code on the application host.
