CVE-2025-10401Public exploitNetwork attack vector

Authenticated command execution via unsanitized ping target

Published Sep 14, 2025 · Updated Sep 15, 2025

Command injection in D-Link DIR-823X firmware 250416 allows remote authenticated users to execute arbitrary system commands. The /goform/diag_ping handler passes the target_addr parameter to the router's ping command without validation, allowing shell metacharacters to append commands. Access requires valid web-administration credentials; injected commands execute on the router and can read, alter, or interrupt device operations.
