Script execution via unneutralized card-edit input
Published Sep 13, 2025 · Updated Sep 13, 2025
Cross-site scripting in RPi-Jukebox-RFID 2.0 through 2.8.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute script via cardEdit.php. The endpoint places an attribute-breaking card-edit value into generated HTML without neutralizing markup, so an img element and its onerror handler execute in the browser. A low-privileged user must submit the payload and another user must load the affected page, limiting the demonstrated consequence to unauthorized page-content changes and script execution in that browser.
