CVE-2025-1036Network attack vector

Root SSH access via Logging page command injection

Published Oct 28, 2025 · Updated Oct 28, 2025

OS command injection in Hitachi Energy TropOS 4th Gen 8.7.0.0 through 8.9.6.0 allows remote authenticated users to gain root SSH access. Hitachi Energy identifies the Logging page as the locus but has not disclosed the affected parameter, handler, or exact command construction. Low-privileged access to the network-reachable configuration utility is sufficient to execute arbitrary commands and enable root SSH access on the device.
