Subscriber-level settings manipulation via unchecked AJAX handler
Published Oct 15, 2025 · Updated Oct 15, 2025
Missing authorization in the Library Management System WordPress plugin 3.1 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to modify settings. The owt7_library_management_ajax_handler() function dispatches authenticated AJAX actions without verifying that the caller has the capability required for the requested settings or feature operation. Subscriber-level access is sufficient, and the bounded impact is unauthorized integrity changes to plugin configuration and features.
