Unauthenticated file upload via missing type validation
Published Feb 5, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Arbitrary file upload in Kleor Contact Manager 8.6.4 and earlier allows remote attackers to place attacker-chosen files on WordPress servers. The contact-form upload handler accepts files without validating their effective executable type, allowing a crafted double-extension name to pass its filename checks. Code execution requires winning an upload race and a server configuration that processes the first extension rather than the final extension.
