Unauthenticated file upload via unguarded upload function
Published Sep 12, 2025 · Updated Sep 12, 2025
Missing authentication in NewType Infotech NUP Portal SP5.0 and earlier allows remote attackers to upload files through the portal. The upload function accepts files without authenticating the caller, while a separate extension restriction limits executable file types. No account or user interaction is required; bypassing that extension restriction enables a webshell upload and server-side code execution.
