Administrative session compromise via unvalidated DOM parameter
Published Oct 9, 2025 · Updated Feb 26, 2026
DOM-based XSS in Progress Flowmon before 12.5.5 allows remote attackers to execute script in an administrator's authenticated browser. The navigateToElement parameter is injected into the DOM without validation, and a stored payload is restored after login. Exploitation requires a targeted administrator to open a malicious link; the script gains administrative API access to read data and alter accounts or monitoring configuration.
