Published Oct 15, 2025 · Updated Oct 15, 2025
Stored XSS in Arefly Shortcode Button 1.1.9 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to inject scripts via crafted button shortcode attributes. The button shortcode handler places user-supplied attributes into generated HTML without sufficient sanitization or context-appropriate output escaping. Contributor-level access is required to store the payload, which executes in a visitor's browser when the affected page is viewed.
