Authenticated database disclosure via shortcode SQL injection
Published Dec 11, 2025 · Updated Dec 11, 2025
SQL injection in List Category Posts 0.91.0 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to read sensitive database data via a shortcode. The catlist shortcode handles its starting_with parameter without sufficient escaping or prepared-query binding, permitting injected SQL to alter the existing query. Contributor-level access or higher is required to create the crafted shortcode, and the demonstrated consequence is database disclosure rather than data modification or service interruption.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
