Unauthenticated configuration disclosure via environment-variable injection
Published Sep 8, 2025 · Updated Sep 8, 2025
Information disclosure in D-Link DIR-852 1.00CN B09 allows remote attackers to read router configuration data without authentication. The phpcgi_main parser appends POST parameters before its server-generated AUTHORIZED_GROUP value, while xmldbc_ephp retains the first duplicate variable. A newline-injected AUTHORIZED_GROUP=1 therefore overrides the later unauthenticated value and exposes requested configuration, including account credentials.
