Script execution via unsanitized project name
Published Sep 8, 2025 · Updated Sep 8, 2025
Cross-site scripting in SourceCodester Time Tracker 1.0 allows remote authenticated users to execute script via a project name. The index.html and script.js logic interpolates the submitted project-name value into newProject.innerHTML without sanitization, causing browser interpretation as markup. Exploitation requires low-privileged access and user interaction; injected script executes in the submitting user's browser.
