Administrator code execution via unsanitized logger slug
Published Sep 17, 2025 · Updated Apr 8, 2026
Local file inclusion in Pär Thernström Developer Loggers for Simple History 0.5 and earlier allows remote authenticated users to execute PHP code. The enabled_loggers request parameter supplies logger slugs that version 0.5 passes into PHP file inclusion without restricting each value to a safe slug. Administrator-level access is required, and arbitrary code execution additionally requires an attacker-controlled PHP file already present on the server.

Exploitability
Present is not the same as exploitable
Compare your product and version with the public record. A matching version still requires validation against your environment.
