Unauthenticated code execution via unrestricted logo upload
Published Oct 15, 2025 · Updated Oct 15, 2025
Arbitrary file upload in Devsbrain Flex QR Code Generator 1.2.5 and earlier allows remote attackers to write files to the server. The save_qr_code_to_db function accepts an unauthenticated logo upload, checks only the upload error, and preserves an attacker-controlled extension without validating the file type. No account or user interaction is required; uploading PHP into the web-accessible WordPress uploads directory enables server-side command execution when PHP execution is permitted there.
